1971 Plymouth 'Cuda 440 Six Pack - Limited Edition

And you thought a six pack was a set of chiseled abs!Of course, the ‘71 ‘Cuda 440 was about as ripped as you could get, but its six-pack designation referred to the trio of two-barrel carbs fitted to the 440cid engine, re-created in perfect clarity in this spectacular model. Other features such as the quad headlamps, distinctive grille and “fender gills” complete the ‘Cuda’s portrait of power and performance. Hand-painted a dramatic Triple Black. In the world of Muscle Cars, nothing commands both market attention and performance appreciation like the Plymouth ‘Cuda. In 1971, the writing was on the wall for high horsepower engines. A looming fuel crisis, increased insurance ratings and a change in styles brought the era of raw performance to an end. The ‘71 ‘Cuda took one last gasp at greatness and delivered with a full host of performance engines. The exotic triple carburetor setup, known as the “six pack” and featured as the +6 for Plymouth on the 440 engine, delivered a ground pounding 390 horsepower, just shy of the Hemi. But many people checked the “V” code 440 option box with the six bbl option because, unlike the Hemi, this engine came fully warranted from Chrysler. The 1971 ‘Cuda was the top of the line but offered only minor changes from the previous year. A new grille and taillight treatment, as well as new interior patterns, were just part of the changes in the model line. The most notable features of the 1971 ‘Cuda were the addition of “fender gills,” situated on the front fenders, and quad headlamps. Although the 1971 ‘Cuda ended the Muscle Car era, it reigns today as one of the most desirable and sought-after Muscle Cars to drive the streets of America.Limited Edition of 2,500
