300 Workout Variations

May 10th, 2010

It seems like the most talked about aspect of the 300 movie was the actor’s bodies. Every Spartan solider looked ripped with their chisled abs and strong chest and shoulders. So how exactly do you get a group of actors to look like one of the greatest armies in history and legend?

Well Mark Twight, an exercise expert and avid mountain climber developed what he calls the 300 workout. He trained the cast for 8-12 weeks, with the 300 workout being the final test. I’ve been giving this workout to clients once in a while (and myself) and it’s a definite “feel the next day” routine.

The 300 Workout

25 pull-ups
50 deadlifts at 135 pounds
50 push-ups
50 box jumps with a 24-inch box
50 “floor wipers” (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds)
50 “clean and press” at 36 pounds (a weight-lifting exercise)
25 more pull-ups

For a total of 300 reps

Routine progress is suppose to be measured by the time it takes to complete the routine. Try to rest for as little time possible in between exercises. It may take multiple sets to get through an exercise and that’s perfectly fine. The fastest in Twight’s group was a speedy 18 minutes! Consider yourself in great shape if you can finish in 30-45.

This routine is not for beginners. However it can be modified to suit different fitness levels.

Variations for the 300 Workout

-Pull Ups can be performed assisted by using a stability ball or stepping stool under the pull up bar. Or by using an assisted pull up machine, like the Gravitron.

-Deadlift, floor wiper and clean and press weight amounts can be reduced.

-For deadlifts I prefer Romanian deadlifts for less work on the low back and more focus on the legs and glutes. 50 stiff legged deadlifts is a lot for anyone that does not regularly practice them.

-Push ups can be modified.

-Box jumps can be substituted for step ups if you don’t have a 2 foot box. You can also use an aerobic step or the first step on the staircase for less height.

This workout is great for anybody that loves a challenge and loves to sweat. Even though I don’t want to look like a Spartan warrior I love this workout because it forces me to be tough on myself. I am being timed and all!

This is SPARTA!”

HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!

How to Find Your Way in the Internet Marketing World!

May 9th, 2010

If you are interested in Internet Marketing (IM) the best way to get started is to examine how many different ways there are for you to go.

One of the things you rarely hear when first you look into this Internet Marketing thing is a description of the numbers.

Right now there are 3 or 4 million people looking at the Internet Marketing (IM) world as a possible place for them to thrive. In bad times, even more.

They’re just looking! They don’t do much except look. Sometimes they buy.

But these are not your competition. It’s my opinion that in the IM world there is no competition! Since there is such a large number of people trying to buy online all we really need is a small piece of that pie.

Remember Sam Walton? He said “A very small percentage of a really big number is still a big number.” I agree.

The already successful Internet Marketers are your competition IF you choose to market Internet Marketing.

While IM is a huge niche it doesn’t take anywhere near as much know-how to sell info products or physical products to some very large “other” markets.

Like “weight loss” and “credit” and “baldness” and “abs and “golf”. Those are huge markets that are far easier to break into.

I’m here in the Internet Marketing arena because I have been in marketing and sales for 40 years. I’m a natural. I love it and I have something to contribute to the total.

You may be right for this, too! If you are I’d be glad to help you learn the ropes.

Regardless of the FACT that marketers will tell you “$30,000 in 30 Days..Without a Website!” there is a basic truth.

You have to know which market you are going to serve.

You have to know the basics! That includes basic tools of the trade. Blogs. Traffic generation.

Once you have that done, go to work.

The reason so many marketers hawk the idea that you can make tons of money right away, without a website, is because there are thousands of people everyday, desperate, surfing the net, needing money fast, and they don’t want to waste time learning the basics! They want to make money now!

They are in a bad position to commence study of a complex career.

But the basics are what get you there! That’s the way it is and it will probably stay that way.

Did you ever notice that those marketers telling you that you don’t need a website are using one to sell you this. What an irony.

If you are one of the legions of people who need money fast and can’t be bothered to learn the basics…then I can’t help you.

Neither can anybody else. The problem is, there are those who say they can.

They’re scammers.

There may be a marketer out there that could move a newcomer from zero to sixty in 30 days but I haven’t seen it. And I have never seen it done.

You see, in this business, like all others, you are rewarded for what you do (action) and not for just being there.

But don’t let that concern you! If you are smart and willing to work hard AND you like the idea…you can do it.

Whatever it is.

Now I’ve been writing this to you as if you are a good candidate for Internet marketing (IM). But IM doesn’t cover only the subject of IM itself. (read that twice)

Internet Marketing covers the whole world and your life in it.

Picture yourself in a car on a nice day going down a typical commercial street. Can you see it? Look around you while you move down the street.

What do you see? A fast food joint…an oil change outfit…a mall with clothing stores and a nice restaurant. Did you see a bookstore?

A bookstore sells information. It’s true that the information is sold in physical products but…the ratio of “other stores” to “bookstores” is just HUGE.

Like 99 to 1.

And it’s the same on the internet. Physical products and “real stuff” are the vast majority of the things sold. Both in the Internet world and the real world.

Consider that for a moment. Where is your best opportunity?

Is it in the small slice of the market? Or the big hunk? Well, consider this…even small markets are sliced up into micro markets. Mini markets if you will. There are thousands of them.

And one of them is probably just right for you. Don’t you wish you knew which one it was? Or maybe you do.

In any case don’t for a minute despair! What a waste of energy that is!

There are known ways to to sort out which way will suit you the best.

One thing you can do is Google “niche market list”. Don’t jump on the first thing..you’re just looking.

But you are looking in the right place. Ebay is another good place to find out what’s hot and what’s not. They even have a what’s hot and whats not list and trend analysis.

So does Yahoo!

From Info marketing to sales of physical products there’s a niche out there just waiting for someone like you.

How to Get Rid of Belly Fat Easily

May 9th, 2010

The anatomy of the body is simple. The fat collections and stores are nearly always situated on top of a layer of muscle. This means, your abs can be strong and ripped, but never seen thanks to the extra fat on the body. So, how do you achieve those firm abs and lose your tummy fat? You have to burn off the extra fat with a fat burning workout and a diet that helps the body to lose fat and gain muscle.

What you need to realize is - the best way to get rid of belly fat is to EAT. Exercising is great for fat loss but involves a lot of ‘muscular effort’ such as working out with weights. Hence you should make sure that you eat plenty of protein, particularly from lean meats such as Chicken and Turkey, soya-protein, and red meat (in moderation). When you exercise in this way, the muscles suffer many small tears and need a good source of protein to help repair and strengthen them.

The best way to get rid of belly fat is to Control your meal - stick to the 1 plate rule if you want to get rid of stomach fat. No second serves. However, there are quite a few of us that have been taught to eat everything on our plate. Unfortunately, this habit is hard to break.

You must do your cardiovascular in the morning before breakfast. Studies have shown over and over again that the body burns much more body fat if cardiovascular training is done on an empty stomach. Do a short 30-minute run; you do not have to run for 45 minutes.

In getting rid of belly fat, a person should eat a balanced diet. The foods that you eat should be low in cholesterol. This is a general fact known to many who wants to lessen the body fat. However, the foods that you eat should be right and not simply low in cholesterol. Eating healthy foods that give you less calories than those that you actually burn will help you reduce the excess fat and in getting rid of belly fat.

Avoid trigger foods and dining with big eaters. Avoid having your favorite foods in the house or going out with friends you know eat a lot or make you feel guilty if you don’t polish off everything they cook for you. They only make you feel more stressed and more inclined to binge.

Burn off more calories than you take in. If you eat 6,000 calories a day, but only burn off 4,000 a day, you don’t need to be an Einstein to figure out that you’ll progressively get fatter! So, which diet should you follow? Well, that’s up to you, but just cutting out saturated fat, sugary things, booze, etc — you know the type of stuff — will help enormously. Cut out the bad stuff and only eat the good stuff and you’ll more than likely burn off your daily calorie intake at least.

Do Fat Burners Work - or is it a Scam?

May 7th, 2010

Fat burners have become really popular very quickly. But are they popular because they actually work or are they popular, because there are so many advertisements everywhere. The ads are always the same. A very lean fitness model or a bodybuilder is featured in the ad and they claim that the product is the secret to their great look and sixpack abs. So the poor guy or girl automatically thinks that fat burners work and they are the only way to burn fat.

The truth is that those ads are mostly misleading and often those people with incredible ripped bodies are just models and they get paid for it. The models themselves may have never even used the product. Fat burners in general have little to no effect and the best you get, is some thermogenic effect and possibly some slight appetite suppression. But in general the benefits are minimal.

For example the extract in Green Tea could increase the metabolic rate on average of some 75 calories during a period of 24 hours. You can burn 75 calories by walking your dog for 15 minutes or vacuuming for 15 minutes. Walking your dog is much better for your health then drinking a fat burner drink.

If you buy a a new fat burner for the first ,you really have no idea if it actuallt works. The advertisers can say what ever they want, but without any research, that proves the effects, it? worthless. The makers and advertisers of fat burners play so many tricks on you, that it is just incredible.

A very well known scam they pull is when a “fat burner” advertisement quotes research that a certain inredient boosts metabolism, which might be true. What they may not tell you is that all the research with positive results used a large dosage of the ingredient, which might not be cheap. The dosage of the incredient in your fat burner drink is so small, that it has no effect.

Yes, you can buy a fat burner drink, but you have to understand if it is worth all the trouble. You really don´t know if it works, what are the health risks or side effects. If some ad claims you need more than just nutrition and exercise to get lean, then they are false.

The Truth Behind Weight Loss Before And After Pictures

May 6th, 2010

They say a picture tells a thousand words.

When it comes to weight loss, nothing strikes you more than a remarkable before and after transformation. Its the best way for promoters of weight loss pills and exercise gadgets to sell their products. Its a great advertisement, but the line between reality and trick photography is thin. Granted that the pictures are genuine in most cases, many are surprised to learn that the same person can look like a ‘before’ and ‘after’ in the same day!

You are about to learn some amazing secrets that advertisers use to enhance the effects of these transformations. This strategies will help you to spot the fake ‘quick weight loss’ schemes. The average person is not able to see these nuances, which makes it important to critically review a TV / radio ad before you decide to invest in the product / service.

TRY THIS LITTLE TEST

You can see for yourself how easy it is to make photos even taken on the same day look drastically different. As soon as you wake up go stand in front of the mirror. Stick your tummy out and slump your shoulders.

Click – you have a before picture.

Now after you take a shower and are fully awake, its time for the after photo.

Get in front of the same mirror with your hair neatly combed and stand up straight, tighten your abs, hold your shoulders back, look forward and slightly up and smile. Click, you have an after photo.

Quite a change.

Now throw in a tan and a little dieting with some professional photo work and you will look like a different person.

The following features are common to all ‘before’ photos. The before photo is posed and taken under conditions to make the person look grossly out of shape. Their hair is messed up. Posture is poor with shoulders slumped forward. The light used in the photo washes out any appearance of muscle tone. Most times, the subject intentionally protrudes his / her tummy out. They always have a very unhappy look on their face. The ladies have no makeup on and the gents are usually unshaven. Lastly, it looks like they just woke up.

In the ‘after’ photo, the subject is make to look as appealing as possible, using make-up. Their posture is perfect and it’s usually in some sort of pose. They are tanned and clean shaven. Their hair is neatly styled, and they pose in a manner to accentuate the good points and hide the bad. The background of the photo is such that it makes them look good. The lighting in the photo is perfect and set up to highlight muscle tone. The subjects pose as if they were professional models. Finally, all of them have expressions on their face as if the just won the lottery!

So don’t be fooled by these, and several other marketing techniques. Be an educated consumer, and make decisions based on your judgment, professional advise and sound scientific principles. Remember that the power to create a before’ and ‘after’ picture of yourself lies inside you, not in the pages of some commercial.

Shaving Body Hair for Men

May 6th, 2010

If you follow the wonderful world of bodybuilding, fitness, and physical culture long enough there will come a day when you realize that all the fit muscular dudes that grace the magazines, the competition stage, and who strut their stuff down on the beach with sculpted 6 Pack Abs and ripped muscles glistening in the sunlight…

You’ll notice that they all have one thing in common… They have NO body hair… How can this be? They don’t actually shave… do they?

Nah, not these guys… there is no way these massive mountains of muscle, the same ones you’ll see bench pressing compact cars as a warm up set, will ever stoop to the level of bending over the edge of the bathtub with a can of shaving cream and razor in hand scraping away the hairs on their legs like a little school girl…!?!?

But the harsh reality of bodybuilding is that they DO!!!

Yes, my friend even the biggest and the burliest of bodybuilders will pay their dues, with razor in hand, shedding unwanted body hair in order to reveal the muscular physique that was carved from blood, sweat, and tears in the gym.

I can remember the first time I “shaved my legs”. It was during summer break of 1995. I was 16 years old and planning on competing in my first bodybuilding competition in a few months time. I was home alone, my parents were both at work. So I basically had the house to myself, what better time to experiment with shaving my legs…

To make a long story short…

4 worn out razors and 3 hours later I was sporting silky smooth legs, along with several nicks, cuts, and scabs to boot. Then to show off those freshly shaven white pillar’s of power, I put on a pair of gym shorts… It’s actually scary to see how white you are underneath all that hair.

In a strange sort of why I felt like this was a critical milestone that just I overcame in my bodybuilding journey… yes I admit this sport of ours is a bit weird.

Anyway, later that afternoon when my parents came home from work we had the usual routine chit chat:

Dad:

“Hey Lee, we’re home… How was your day?”

Me:

“It was ok, I shaved my legs today.”

Dad:

“You did WHAT!!!”

Me:

“I shaved my legs… you know… to get ready for the bodybuilding contest.”

Dad:

“You’re not serious…?!?!”

Me:

“Yeah, I really did shave my legs… all the bodybuilders do it before a bodybuilding contest.”

Dad:

“How on earth did you do that?”

Me:

“With a razor… several razors actually.”

Dad:

“ahhhh, Lee… I gotta tell you something… normal guys don’t shave their legs… you just don’t do that… it’s… well, it’s not natural.”

Needless to say, I didn’t feel too confident in myself at this stage and I certainly wasn’t gaining the approval of my old man. I think he was questioning my masculinity at this stage and he was having some doubts about his boy’s future…

But he eventually overcame his fears and concerns about my “manliness”. And now, over a decade of bodybuilding competitions later, the thought of men shaving their legs is just another household chore… just like taking out the trash :-)

So for all my fellow brothers of iron who are ready to take your bodybuilding game to the next level and… “Shave Your Legs” this article is for you!

This is what I call the A.B.C’s of shaving body hair…

Trust me this is not something you will learn from your dad…

The bottom line is that hair removal is a pain for everyone. And depending on how hairy you are will determine how much of a nuisance removing that hair will be.

In my case I’m pretty lucky because I don’t have a very hairy back or chest, just the few odd hairs here and there, nothing major. And my legs are what I’d consider average for a guy in terms of the amount of hair that I have growing there.

Now there are lots of hair removal methods and gimmicks on the market today; from creams, electronic gizmos, and God knows what else. Personally, I’ve never really gotten into using any of them myself. I’ve heard a few horror stories over the years from people who have experimented with various things. And I can remember when I was living at home my mom tried a particular hair removal cream and she broke out in a ugly red rash that irritated her skin big time. So I’ve just stuck to the basic old school method of hair removal - shaving.

If you’ve never shaved before and you have a lot of hair then I’d suggest you get yourself a pair of hair cutting clippers, the same ones the barber will use to give you a buzz cut. Using just the clipper itself with no comb, carefully trim away the hair from your legs, arms, chest, etc. and then get someone to help you with your back and areas you can’t reach.

A word of advice here, make sure you give yourself plenty of time. Shaving A LOT of hair cannot be rushed. It could easily take a couple hours or more, especially when you don’t have a clue what you are doing.

To make it easier on yourself I’d suggest that you just shave your legs with the clippers at first, then call it a day. The next day come back and shave your upper body with the clippers.

After you’ve completed this clipper trimming, your body will be covered in tiny stubble. Rubbing your hand over your skin will feel like sand paper. Not the most sexy thing, especially if you are planning on getting intimate with that special someone.

Anyway, the next day I’d suggest you break out the razor blade, the same one you use to shave your face with. Again schedule yourself lots of time, get in the shower and soap up your legs. Using a brand new razor blade, shave away… Make sure to be extra careful when shaving around the groin area (for obvious reasons) and just take your time, don’t rush things because this is what causes careless nicks and cuts.

If you can shave the stubble off both legs before you run out of hot water in the shower consider this a major accomplishment, you are well on your way to bodybuilding success :-)

The next day, do the same thing for your upper body. Again give yourself lots of time, lather up with soap, be careful, and always use a brand new razor blade.

One thing you’ll most likely notice a day or so after shaving is that you’ll break out in a razor rash of little red bumps, especially on sensitive areas like the inner thighs. While this is very annoying, it will become less irritated as you get used to shaving and your skin “toughens up” to the whole process. Keep in mind you are a shaving virgin right now and you have to suffer through this beginner stage, before you can get to the point of confidently sporting a ripped, hair free, muscle bod on the beach or competition stage.

After you have gone through the whole process of ridding your body of all the hair you can maintain your hair free body by simply shaving off the stubble once every 7-10 days in the shower. Again the easiest way to do this is divide your body in half, shave your legs one day, and then shave your upper body the next.

Well there you have it my friend. A step-by-step plan to go from a hairy sasquatch, to a smooth, handsome, hairless physique… Now if losing this dam beer gut was just as easy we’d have it made…

Fat Loss 4 Idiots - The Truth About Targeted Exercise

May 5th, 2010

Fat loss for you? Well, you may be contemplating buying the latest ab buster gizmo on the market just to get rid of that fat belly. Before you do, you might want to read this information. The truth is these machines will not bust the fat off your midsection, hips, or thighs like they claim.

How you Gain Weight

The idea that you can lose fat from a particular body part by targeting that part with intense exercise is not a new one. Someone always claims to have the miracle movement that will leave you with six-pack abs. That, my friends, is simply not true.

We gain weight based on body type, age, gender, and genetics. The base reason we gain fat stores is that we consume more than we burn, however where that fat is stored is affected by the above-mentioned reasons.

We all have a different body type, some are heavier on the bottom, some in the middle, and others on top, and still others gain weight all over equally. This type of localized weight gain is determined at least in part by genetics. If your mom carried a lot of weight on her hips, the chances are good that you will as well.

Other things like child bearing can also affect where the weight is stored. Needless to say, fat settles where it will based on factors that you have little control over.

How Exercise works

Exercise works by increasing your metabolism; this in turn creates increased caloric burn. When you have burned all the calories consumed in a day this burn will then shift to the stores of fat on your body. However, they will not turn to specific areas just because that is the area being worked.

Abdominal machines, thigh masters, and all the other gadgets you can buy will do only one thing strengthens the muscle underneath the stores of fat. Moreover, guess what, you are not likely to be able to see the difference until the over lying fat is removed.

To remove it you will have to do high intensity work outs and watch what you eat. That is the secret pure and simple. Can the machines help you? In a limited fashion only, when you strengthen any muscle group it is a good start, but you will have to couple it with other measures to see the fantastic results you were hoping for.

Conclusion

When you want to lose weight look at it as a process. You must eat less, exercise more and increase lean body mass. All of these things are accomplished by a well-rounded diet that includes all the major food groups, increased activity, and weight training.

There are no magic bullets to weight loss, no pill or gadget that is going to make it easy for you. It will take work and dedication to a lifestyle change. When you accomplish this, you will feel and look amazing. A healthy fat loss diet balances your mood and gives you the energy you need to exercise.

How Can Pilates Strengthen Your Abs

May 5th, 2010

We often hear good things about Pilates through the media. It improves blood circulation and flexibility as well. It was invented by Joseph Pilates when he was imprisoned on the Isle of Man during World War 1. It was actually used to get flu patients back to health quickly. He then moved to America and incorporated pilates into training boxers. Pilates forces you to do exact exercises that are not too complicated. It actually uses your own body weight. It is designed to strengthen your abs, core , posture, and balance.

The core is very important since it is the center of gravity for your body. However, if you are looking to get “ripped” it won’t happen with pilates. Pilates is all about physical well-being and nothing else. One great form of pilates is Winsor Pilates. It will do what other abdominal exercises will not and target your abdominals. Doing these exercises will definitely give you a more tall and lean look. Some of the Winsor exercises can be found online and equipment is minimal. Sometimes just a mat on the floor to cushion your positions will suffice.

The great thing about Pilates is that there is no special equipment, and you can do it in your home. In fact, it could take only 10 minutes a day to see improved abdominal toning. Once you have strengthened your core you will see improvements in the rest of your body too. Your posture will improve and your back will feel better. This could be great for people suffering from recurrent back pain.

Pilates also forces you to concentrate on your breathing and workouts, which translates to other areas in your life as far as concentration and focus. It is a fact that in this chaotic world we could all use more focus. So if you feel that you could use some more focus in your life, and lose some of that belly fat, then try some Pilates. You could drop 10 pounds or even more with enough effort.

Pilates can also be beneficial for older individuals. By improving their abs, they can improve their core and balance, thus reducing the scare of falling. The abs are not separate muscles, but in fact, one long sheet of muscle! The abdominals can also be referred to as “the powerhouse”. Working your abs are important for overall good health and activity daily. It is amazing that there are 29 core muscles! You should be working them all! As long as you are careful and follow the basic rules for working out with pilates, you will see a definite improvement in your core.

The Truth About Weight Loss Myths

May 4th, 2010

Lets face it every regime has its own supply of useless folklore and half-truths that get passed on down the line from person to person. But I’d put weight loss up against any of them for what has to be the most time wasting and even the most dangerous myths out there.

There is a ton of free advice seen in the media these days and if it is taken seriously, can really set you back on your weight loss endeavours. This can lead to the kind of frustration that makes people think they are “destined to remain fat for the rest of their life”.

This in not true, Have a look at the Weight loss myths below and draw your own conclusions.

Exercise on an empty stomach and burn more fat.

Effective weight loss is the total amount of calories burned during the day, not how or why they were burned. It doesn’t matter if it is night or morning, so exercise early in the day has no advantage to exercise later in the day.

Studies show that increased metabolism induced by anaerobic exercise is actually less after a large meal. Which probably means that more energy is being used for digestion than what is being used to repair muscle.

More exercise is better.

Every exercise session is beneficial to each individual, however more is not always better. It depends on what is trying to be achieved. There is a level and frequency

required to achieve results.

After this level is reached, additional exercise can have the opposite effect, not allowing the body to recuperate and adapt to the stress induced by the exercise, which can be detrimental to your results.

After stopping exercise muscle will turn to fat.

This in not possible, Muscle and fat are two different types of tissues in the body and you cannot convert one into the other. This is like trying to turn water into oil.

If you stop training, the muscles will shrink in size but they will not disappear. The more calories taken in that are not burned off will be deposited as fat.

If you’re not sweating, you’re not working hard enough.

Sweating is the body’s way of cooling itself down. Many factors contribute to body temperature, including room temperature, types of exercise done, body-fat levels, clothing, and exercise intensity.

The intensity for exercise can’t be judged by the amount you sweat. A well-trained person will often sweat a lot because their body can more efficiently regulate heat.

Taking sugar before exercise raises energy levels.

Ingestion of sugar will lead to a rapid rise in blood sugar levels. This rapid rise stimulates a release of insulin, which quickly removes the excess sugar from the blood system, often causing your blood sugar levels to drop, sometimes below the level that it started at, leading to faster exhaustion.

Gaining weight is just a part of getting older.

Getting older is not an excuse for gaining weight! As we age and begin a more sedentary lifestyle we start to lose muscle mass.

The efficiency of your metabolism is directly linked to how much muscle you have on your body. The most efficient way of maintaining your body’s muscle mass and keeping your metabolism from dropping is by doing a high intensity strength-training workout once a week.

If it’s fat free I can have as much as I want.

Unfortunately fat free doesn’t mean calorie free. The word fat free is misleading because if you overeat on anything, even fat free foods and you don’t burn off those calories; your body will store the excess as fat.

Don’t drink water when you exercise or you will get cramps.

By drinking litres of icy cold water in one go while exercising you will probably suffer from cramps. This is why it is important to drink water continuously before, during and after exercising to replace the fluid you’ve lost and avoid any discomfort.

By not having a personal trainer I wont make gains.

Hiring a personal trainer is one way you can use to reach your goals, but you are an adult capable of making decisions and setting your own goals once you have the knowledge of how to go about it.

Following a good exercise program and eating

plan does not require someone standing over you and telling you how to do it.

By exercising my abs I will lose my potbelly.

Exercising your abdominals will help to tone and firm the abdominal region, but it will not reduce fat deposits that are responsible for a potbelly. Fat reduction comes from burning more calories than you take in. Fat is reduced uniformly throughout the body there is no such thing as spot reduction.

Your next step? To take what you have just learned and the next time you hear a weight loss myth evaluate it scientifically.
